Burnished Nickel Chandelier
You have planned your house down to the final detail. You are so excited as you realize that it is nearly finished and that you will soon move into it.
When you get the message from the builder that the chandelier you had picked our will not be available for several months, you opt to go to the lighting store and pick out a new one.
While you are in the lighting store, you realize that there are many different styles and colors to choose from and you think about getting something very different from what you had chosen earlier. You think about your dining room set and how it will look in the room and then you consider that choosing a chandelier of burnished nickel might accent your room the best.
Nickel chandeliers come in many different styles. You decide to concentrate on the ones from the contemporary décor section. You find that the sizes range in width from nineteen inches to the large ones that are twenty-eight inches or more. There are many different branches to each of them and you decide that you might like the ones that look a little more artistic and yet aren’t flamboyant. You choose one that has seven branches. The lights in this chandelier are facing upwards. The light from the bulbs will reflect on your ceiling and you think that this will cause a warm glow in your dining room. The chandelier uses bulbs that look like candle flames and they also have shades on the light sections. The shades that are on the demonstration chandelier are milk glass and seem to suit what you plan for your dining room. You tell the person in that section and he chooses a box from the shelf that you purchase. When you return to the building site, you give it to the builder and he puts it up. You remember that the clerk in the store told you that you could change the entire décor of the room by simply changing out the glass shades on the chandelier. You decide that you will check out your choices the next time you are in the lighting store.
Burnished nickel is lovely. It looks like pewter when made into a chandelier that is then hung from the ceiling. The look can be either elegant or plain. It depends on the additions to the chandelier. You can make your burnished nickel chandelier the centerpiece of your dining room. Remember that it will match any color or style. If you choose to have the lights facing downward, you will need to position the chandelier a little higher from the dining room table. You can also choose to have the light sockets facing upwards so that the light will reflect from the ceiling. If you have a cathedral ceiling, you will need to hang your burnished nickel chandelier a little higher up than if you only have an eight foot ceiling. Remember that the burnished nickel fixtures will look good with the use of anything silver or pewter.
